Many disciplines have limited capacity and practice a competitive selection through which places are allocated on the basis of high academic achievement as well as considerations of equity. Some disciplines may require a portfolio of work.
Bachelor of Social Science Honours
The School of Applied Human Sciences offers Honours Programmes with the following majors:
- Criminology and Forensic Studies (Howard College Campus ONLY)
- Culture, Communications and Media Studies – CCMS (Howard College Campus ONLY)
- Industrial Psychology (Howard College Campus ONLY)
- General Psychology (Howard College Campus and PMB Campus)
ADMISSION
Admission into the honours programme is based purely on academic merit. A minimum of 50% average across all modules of the relevant major at level 3 is required for an application to an Honours degree. All disciplines have limited capacity and practice a competitive selection through which places will be allocated on the basis of high academic achievement as well as considerations of equity.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HONOURS
The qualification requires a minimum of 128 credits. This is a one-year full-time coursework programme with research project component.
